Ricciardo gets a run in the RB9 at the Young Drivers Test

Daniel Ricciardo is all but being prepped to replace Mark Webber at Red Bull for 2014 after the energy drinks team has given him driving duties for one afternoon in the RB9 at the YDT scheduled to be held in Silverstone later this week.

After the FIA revised the rules for this years YDT, Red Bull today announced that Ricciardo will be one of the five drivers to get time behind the wheel of the senior team's car. Antonio Felix da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jnr, who were previously confirmed to be the young drivers at the test, will run on the mornings of the three test days.

The afternoon duties will be split between Ricciardo, Webber and Vettel. Seems like Dr. Marko has drawn up his plans for 2014 and Jean-Eric Vergne doesn't figure in them.
