Speculation has been rife about Mark Webber's deal with Porche for their 2014 Le Mans project, but the Australian continues to deny that he is ready to quit Formula 1.
Red Bull team boss Dietrich Mateschitz and his right hand man have fueled rumours regarding Kimi Raikkonen's possible move from Lotus to Red Bull for 2014, by confirming their interest in the Finn's services while Lotus and Kimi have been adamant that he is very happy at the Enstone team.Webber in an interview to German-language has said, “I’m still hungry, I still want to do well. I think I still have a few years left in me. As long as I’m fit, the performance is still there and the job is fun … that’s actually the most important thing, that it’s fun,” said Webber.
“How it’s going to go exactly, I don’t know. I have never decided what I’m doing for the next year in April, and I’m not going to start now.”
The fact that Webber was not present for the team's post-race victory photograph after Vettel's win in Bahrain means that there is still a lot of bad blood within the team, and the rumour mills aren't going to stop any time soon. Watch this space.
